Adopted 5/10 Ripley traveled Memorial Day Weekend to be with his new family in Colorado. The following is the first report from his new mom.
"We have decided to keep the name Ripley. Just fits him. He took to us right away. It was more of "yea, I have adopted you!". On the way to get him in Loveland my husband Scott said,"No getting on the furniture or sleeping on our bed!". So last night Rip was on the couch upside down snoring half the night and on our bed the other. He mastered use of the dog door in less than 2 tries and ate all his food this morning. Our schnauzer, Snappy is in heaven. They played chase and running games until 1 in the morning. To funny. Up again @ 5 with more wild chasing. The food issue came up. We found if you just have two bowls of food, even right next to each other, all is good. So that seems to be fine. We are just in love with him. More updates later! And photos once I get some this morning!" |

Rescued 4/3/2010
Ripley was rescued from the pound by a caring couple just prior to being euthanized. The couple turned him over to foster. He is about 6 months old, 19 inches at the withers, and weighs 50 pounds. The vet thinks that he will weigh about100 lbs when full grown. He is heartworm negative, has had shots and is to be neutered 4/29. He does not do well with cats and will need an experienced home if to be placed with other dogs, but is a very sweet boy and needs a good home.
