Update 6/1/2009 (Was Brita) from owner
She's been absolutely GREAT !! Michele said she's just fine when she stops by around noon time to let her out. She hasn't destroyed or chewed on anything in the house. her crate door is always open but she hasn't had any inclination to venture into it. She really loves her walks. We do a 45 min. one around 6 am and another 45- 1 hr one every night. The girlfriend thinks she's wonderful, I think she was expecting this really large disruptive dog. Christina has spent the last 2 Sat. nights here and Moog is great, she even stays off the bed. She actually seems to like to be on the bed when I'm not home, she'll jump up on it when I go to bed but only for a minute or two. I think she realizes it's cooler on the tile floor. I'm splitting her meals so eats twice a day, and you were right she likes to eat when I eat. I put a little chicken that I've cooked up and mix it in with her dry food. I found she likes frozen broccoli florets as I was cooking some last night and she tried one and liked it. As you said she's crazy for Cheetos. She doesn't seem to like any of the chew things I've bought. She has no problem with other dogs that we encounter on our walks, she never barks. She does bark when someone comes to the house though, even if we are outside but that's a good thing. She does enjoy playing tug of war. She was really wiped yesterday, as we sort of had a typical Tim Sat. so she got a couple of walks in, a couple of rides ( she does get excited about riding ) she's riding in the Pathfinder as of right now, it's easier and probably more fun right now than the Jeep would be. She watched me from the carport on a long cable mow the lawn, that plus playing, and having Christina over by the time we went for our evening walk she laid down and went to sleep. ha We are going to head over to the park soon and she if she wants to go into the water. She's laying next to me as I write this e-mail.

| Rescued 2009 Brita had to find a new home because her owner was very allergic to her!! She is a very loving and sweet girl. On the way from picking her up at her previous owners, we stopped by Tim's house to introduce Brita to Tim. They hit it off at first meeting!!! Since Brita was very tense and nervous her first couple of days at the Hills house - Mike invited her up in the bed to calm her down!! Brita decided that that was her bed, and continued sleeping in it for two weeks!! One of the main concerns was that Brita be allowed to sleep with her new forever family. And you can see by the picture - that is exactly where she sleeps!! Brita is now living in Jensen Beach, Florida...... |
