Update 2/23/2009

Khali and Bailey are best buddies.  She's tipped the scales at 90 lbs on her first birthday and seems to still have ALOT of skin to grow into.  She has just begun to lose her puppy fuzz but still hasn't had an obvious heat.  I think she surely must have had a hidden cycle, we'll probably have her spayed in the next few months.  We need to build our dog savings back up (we just spent 3K on poor Bailey, who had to have his scent glands removed!).  She's great with our 4 year old, Madi and any other people she encounters.

We love her dearly and she really is a good dog.  She's a pistol though and will eat ANYTHING - kitchen rugs, dog toys, shoes (STILL).  She also has an uncanny ability to file the super hard nylabones into a shank as if she needs it to escape from jail or something.  I've never seen a dog chew bones like that.  Another thing we weren't prepared for was that tail, it never stops wagging!  What a weapon that thing is, she swings it like a baseball bat and has an uncanny ability to clear the dining room table when she runs by.
