Update 3/26/2009

Genie's new owner said that when they arrived home she and her daughters walked Genie to an area up from their house that was "neutral territory". They then brought the Leo boys up. When she was walking Genie to that area, Genie was unsure and a bit frightened by the passing cars. Once the boys joined them and when they walked back she was much better, picking up on the boys' confidence. The first greeting was good, normal Leo meeting. :-) They then walked back to the house together and right up and in, no problems.
She didn't settle for about an hour but later, her daughter, was lying on Genie in front of the TV and they were watching American Idol. Later, Genie switched position and was lying on the daughter's lap.
The girls are very gentle and sensitive to Genie's needs. It was love at first sight for Genie with her new family. Genie was a bit shy at first but warmed up quickly to them. I know she will be so happy with them. This was a wonderful placement, just perfect. Two young girls to love her, two Leo boys to play with and two new "parents" that she seems to adore.
Another happy rescue!!
